Business Valuations

Determining the value of personal or business assets requires certified expertise. Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) has the knowledge and professionalism to help.

Many circumstances may require you to determine the value of assets such as the sale or purchase of a business, the equitable division of property following a divorce or the taxation of an estate. During complex transactions like these it helps to perform a valuation that will be acceptable to multiple stakeholders.

An objective, certified valuation analyst can fulfill this role, which is why the professionals at CBM offer the partnership you need. Five CBM team members hold the CVA certification, which requires a rigorous study and testing process. Our CVAs remain active in the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the industry organization dedicated to maintaining quality valuation standards, so members remain current with current methodologies.

Many factors are accounted for during an effective valuation including the earning capacity of a business, economic and industry position, market potential, goodwill and competition. CBM has performed complex calculations based on these and other factors for clients such as automotive dealerships, construction subcontractors, retail, real estate and other types of companies.
