"Client relationships are strongest when you’re handling personal as well as business taxes; throughout my career, I’ve treasured the work I’ve done for clients’ families because it means they’ve come to trust me and my expertise."
Michelle Belfont understands that each automotive dealership owner has personal as well as business needs so when she is providing tax planning or consulting expertise to executives, she can also help with their families’ tax needs. For more than 35 years, Michelle, a senior manager, has developed in-depth expertise in business and individual taxation, and accounting for pension and profit-sharing plans, so clients feel they have a trustworthy partner to call when they need assistance.
Michelle has handled complex accounting for clients with multiple dealership locations, managing transactions to keep each business going strong. In doing so, she has developed long-lasting client relationships—some that have lasted longer than three decades.
One of the more complex situations Michelle has faced is the business impacts of dealership sales. She understands the impact when a new owner takes over and she works closely with each client to help each navigate in-depth tax and book entry considerations. She finally recognizes, aside from delivering expertise during sales transactions, that the books of any client can benefit from careful organization, which she provides whenever clients need it.
Managing the tax liabilities and financial statements of dealerships, whether the client’s needs are routine or require special assistance, is what Michelle does best. She delivers peace of mind to owners by providing experience, knowledge and responsiveness to those she serves.
In addition to having an active and fulfilling professional role, Michelle’s personal life is just as rich. She enjoys taking day trips to Pennsylvania and longer trips to Minnesota to visit her children and granddaughter. She also likes taking car trips to other locations throughout the country. Finally, Michelle enjoys baking, hiking, reading and volunteering with her church especially in support of annual Christmas fundraisers.
