"The relationship between a client and advisor is a true partnership, and Angie is dedicated to growing alongside her clients with every new challenge they face. "
Angela Prochaska, CPA, is a natural leader in all that she pursues, both with her clients and with the staff at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM). As a partner and director of tax services and professional development, Angie’s passion for helping others succeed in their business, personal and financial pursuits has guided her 35-year public accounting career.
With a primary focus on the automotive dealership and professional service industries, Angie offers a robust background to support business and individual clients alike with tax planning and compliance expertise. Her ability to see a client through every lens is invaluable in helping high-net-worth individuals to minimize tax liabilities and optimize current tax savings related to family-run entities and trusts. Her perspective and experience are supported by having worked with various clients in the government contracting space and supporting small businesses, including corporate entities, partnerships and sole proprietors.
Her commitment to forging strong, supportive and long-lasting relationships with clients (which has helped her continue to grow as they face new issues) carries over to her role as CBM’s director of professional development. From training and mentoring to professional development and advancement, Angie ensures every professional at CBM receives the education and professional development support they need to advance in their careers. While she enjoys working with all staff, helping younger professionals new to the profession hone their skills and knowledge is her sweet spot.
One of six children growing up, Angie loves developing relationships and finding camaraderie in every aspect of her life. She is also an avid supporter of her alma mater’s athletic programs – the Virginia Tech Hokies.
