In August, Councilor Buchanan & Mitchell’s (CBM) Community Impact Committee organized a successful food drive to support the Capital Area Food Bank. Employees generously contributed canned goods and pantry staples to CBM’s Bethesda location. A digital campaign for monetary contributions allowed our remote employees and friends to take part in the action. In total, CBM collected 62 items including peanut butter, pasta, soup, canned vegetables and more. Our digital campaign raised $520, which will provide 1,040 meals to individuals and families in need. The Capital Area Food Bank works with hundreds of not-for-profit organizations in the DC area to provide food for those in need and address the root cause of hunger in our community.
We are so thankful to all those who contributed to this initiative and played an important part of CBM in the Community.
CBM’s Community Impact Committee develops service events throughout the year for team members to give back to their communities. The next event will be a walk for charity in October.
