Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) is proud to serve as a sponsor of the 2023 Maryland Association of CPAs (MACPA) Women to Watch Awards event on Friday, September 22, 2023. CBM also nominated Judith P. Barnhard, CPA, CFP®, CDFA®, executive vice president and director of the firm’s professional services, wealth management and financial planning services, in the Experienced Leader award category.
The breakfast ceremony, hosted every year by MACPA, highlights the accomplishments of women in the accounting profession and demonstrates to emerging women leaders that success is attainable in the industry. Awards are presented in two categories: Emerging Leaders, for up-and-coming stars in their organizations, and Experienced Leaders, for those who have established roles in their organizations by advancing to the highest levels of management or ownership, and by mentoring those who have followed in their footsteps.
The MACPA Women to Watch event will be held at the Maryland Live! Hotel in Hanover, Maryland from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. Members of CBM’s team will attend in support of Judy’s nomination and to help congratulate the award winners.
