Ambitious candidates pursuing a career in the accounting field, developing marketable skills and working in the DC metro area should consider this opportunity. The individual filling this position will be a senior-level student studying Accounting, or a recent graduate, and should be able to meet the responsibilities associated with this position. Intern candidates should be dedicated to a career in accounting, have at least 120 credit hours with a plan to earn 150 hours within the next year, and have a goal of pursuing CPA designation. Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel. Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills are all essential to this position. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to high-quality work, learning, and personalized service, and demonstrate an ability to work independently and with a team.
CBM’s goal is to provide interns with a broad experience within a public accounting firm environment and provide a chance to collaborate with clients and CBM stakeholders from the tax, audit and accounting departments and with operations professionals. CBM interns can be expected to assist with some or all of the following responsibilities.
