Jordan’s team member spotlight was published to celebrate Social Wellness Month.
I am a partner and director of divorce and litigation services.
Working on project and engagements that do not have a set framework. I enjoy developing approaches and solutions to non-standard problems!
One must have a general sense of intrigue, curiosity and interest in projects, people, business, etc. in order to truly learn about oneself and in turn learn more about others. Also, learning when to say yes and no is paramount. We may not always have the ability to say no, but one should focus beyond the simple words themselves. Say yes to opportunities which fulfill your goals, say no to things which may not be enriching.
CBM provides members the opportunity to be themselves and take initiative to develop a plan for where they would like to go into the future. In a remote and hybrid work world CBM provides activities that provide for social interaction, a flexible schedule to allow times for hobbies, and an environment that surrounds each member with other GREAT ones.
The biggest attribute to a successful career in accounting is passion for the work. Most people believe accounting is strictly math and numbers but there is much more to the field and industry! The world of accounting is a most exciting one! Being passionate means you are eager to develop skills, solve new problems and develop meaningful relationships. As you continue on your journey in accounting, it is helpful to fine tune one’s focus and specialize in an area that truly intrigues them.
I enjoy restoring, modifying and semi-professionally racing vehicles in my spare time and interacting with the community surrounding them. I participate in on-road (autocross) and off-road racing events. I have played tennis for almost 30 years and have developed a new found passion for Pickleball (and won several recent tournaments).
Social Wellness Month is a time to re-focus on what is important (and not important) to me and revisit how I might further nurture relationships with others and myself. It is a meaningful time to revisit a routine and see what works, what does not and how I can improve it.
