Inside Public Accounting Recognizes CBM as Top 300 Accounting Firm

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) has been named to the 2025 list of top 300 accounting firms by INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA). The national accounting industry publication surveys accounting firms across the country on an annual basis to develop its list. Firms are ranked by the net revenue submitted by each participating firm. This year, CBM ranked #235 among all participating firms. CBM is honored to be recognized for the 7th consecutive year, appearing on the list since 2019.

Corporate Transparency Act Injunction Lifted: Initial Reporting Deadline Extended to January 13, 2025

On December 23, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court lifted the injunction, allowing FinCEN to enforce Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting.  This injunction had temporarily halted the requirement for companies to comply with the Corporate Transparency Act’s (CTA) reporting rules, which were set to take effect on January 1, 2025. CBM Collects Food and Donations for the Capital Area Food Bank

In August, Councilor Buchanan & Mitchell’s (CBM) Community Impact Committee organized a successful food drive to support the Capital Area Food Bank. Employees generously contributed canned goods and pantry staples to CBM’s Bethesda location. A digital campaign for monetary contributions allowed our remote employees and friends to take part in the action.
