Point of View

  • On Today’s Environment for Clients… “It is constantly changing, challenging, and competitive! Our auto clients are faced with pricing challenges, changing franchise and tax laws, Internet purchasing and consolidation, to name a few. Our Not-for-Profit clients are searching for additional revenue sources; whether it is from member services or contributions, IRS scrutiny, program relevance, accountability and board governance issues. Contractors continue to fight margin issues and cash flow. Retirement and succession planning remain important discussions with our high net worth clients. It is always rewarding when we can help our clients face these challenges.”

Influence

  • Book influence…”‘Are You My Mother’ by Dr. Seuss. Reading this book with our daughter allowed us to diagnose her dyslexia at an early age.”

Inspiration

  • My perfect day… “starts with sunrise fishing at Cape Point, NC, followed by Crissy (my wife) and I taking Dublin (our dog) for a walk and swim, then everybody surfing, skimboarding, playing football, body surfing, grilling fresh clams and hot dogs, and falling asleep to the sound of the pounding surf.”

Lightning Round

  • Where is your favorite place to spend free time? In my free time, you are most likely to find me at a swimming pool.
  • What do you want people to remember? I want people to remember and emulate those who truly inspire them.
  • Where is your favorite place to travel? I’ve been fortunate enough to have traveled to many faraway places, both for business and with family. Embracing the world is reflected in our multi-cultural work environment. My favorite destination for my family is Rome, Italy. For pleasure, it is fly fishing the Seychelles’ Islands. For work, it would be helping to remove land mines in Cambodia or Sri Lanka.
  • What are four to five words you think describe you? The five words that describe me are: passionate, compassionate, fair, respectful, and fun.
