Their session, scheduled virtually from 10:45 am to 12 pm EDT, is entitled “Tax Issues in Divorce” and will address how the emotional aspects of a divorce may lead to financial mistakes and poor decision-making if spouses are not properly guided through the process. In particular, the session will focus on tax aspects of the division of assets, tax filings in the year of divorce, division of deductions and carryforwards, child credits and tax language for the divorce agreement.
