New Office Space to Accommodate Growth of Not-for-Profit and Professional Services Practices and Acquisition of DC-based Tax and Advisory Firm, Chaconas & Wilson, P.C.
Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) has doubled its Washington, DC presence with new office space at 1150 18th Street, NW, Suite 550. Through open architecture and state-of-the-art technologies CBM’s expanded new office in Northwest Washington is now better equipped to serve its growing not-for-profit and professional services teams.
CBM’s new office opened December 1, with the addition Chaconas & Wilson, P.C., a tax and advisory firm that has operated in the District of Columbia since 1986. Our technological advances at the 18th Street location are best displayed in the new learning center, providing a geographical alternative to CBM’s Bethesda location.
“When we joined CBM, my team was assured of an ongoing presence in the District of Columbia,” says Patricia A. Drolet, CPA, PFS. “Not only has that promise been kept, but, with the accommodations of the new office, we now have more than twice the size of our original space featuring state-of-the-art facilities and generous space to serve clients.” Drolet is a current CBM executive committee partner, and was the founder and managing partner of Drolet and Associates, which merged into CBM in 2014.
“CBM’s expansion into our new DC office captures Pat Drolet’s vision,” adds Peter B. Reilly, CPA, CVA, president and managing partner of CBM. “this would not have been possible without the great effort by our team members—Cresa-Washington, DC, Transwestern, DFS Construction, Fox Architects and Rockrose. It’s a job well done.”
The merger with Chaconas & Wilson is CBM’s fifth in the past five years. Since 2014, CBM has grown rapidly from a professional services team of under 50 to nearly 100.
Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) is a professional services firm delivering tax, accounting and business advisory expertise throughout the Mid-Atlantic region from offices in Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC.
