CBM Contact:

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), a leading full-service CPA and business advisory firm with offices in Bethesda, Maryland and Washington, DC, is proud to announce that Peter B. Reilly, CPA, CVA, President and Managing Partners of CBM, received the “2015 GWSCPA Outstanding Member in Public Practice” award at their annual meeting.

According to the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA), this honor is awarded to those who make substantial and noteworthy contributions to the success and growth of their firm, as well as notable contributions to the growth and enhancement of the accounting profession.

“I am thrilled to receive this award,” said Mr. Reilly. “CBM is approaching its 95th anniversary in 2016. I am committed to honoring the generations before us who built the firm based on a commitment to providing superior client service and embracing change. One way to accomplish this is to continue to hire good people who share our values. At CBM, we believe that each employee directly contributes to the firm’s growth and success, and we want our staff’s experience with us to be challenging, enjoyable, and rewarding.”

After transitioning to President and Managing Partner of CBM, Mr. Reilly implemented several new professional development initiatives such as Project Clear Path, the firm’s mentoring program and Taco Bell breakfasts. “Professional development starts with our recruiting efforts and emphasizes our commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in the hallways, and continues with the mentor each professional staff member is paired with,” said Reilly.

Everyone is proud of Pete for having been recognized as an Outstanding member in Public Practice.
